Ok I'm 1.40min in and already I'm wondering about the costume choices...the sweatband-like headbands, the skimpy cropped tops that look like a 20 something at coachella, not a likely married Jewish woman in ancient Egypt. She'd likely be wearing a tichel (head covering), and modest clothing of the time, even as a slave. Yeah I get they're meant to be rags/falling apart but come on, at least attempt to reference us Jews correctly. This is our story. Ok, as I go on and Yocheved appears my question is the same but more so! Why didn't you dress them like her, she's pretty spot on! But why are we just straight up mistranslating Hebrew??? Moses/Moshe means CAME/DRAWN FROM THE RIVER. The Queen of Egypt named him that because...well duh he came from the Nile. Miriam wouldn't have lied about his name, nor would she have gone inside the palace and gotten away with it...

Went twice to see this musical in San Francisco - took my family for Christmas. Absolutely loved every minute. Not sure if she sings as high as Sara Brightman - pretty close.
